“Sword?”
The visible item was clearly a sword. Ming Hu swallowed hard. The odds of an equipment item dropping from a monster were very low, but the odds of it being a good option were high.

Ming Hu scratched his head as he looked at the options, and then checked the option for his Screaming Knuckles.

Ming Hu smiled and put the howling fox into his inventory. It was a unique item no matter what the options were, and compared to the chilling Screaming Knuckles, the Howling Fox’s options seemed fine.
What Ming Hu doesn’t realize, however, is just how good of an option his Howling Fox has, and how the Chilling Screaming Knuckles he’s wearing are so good that they rival Unique, despite being a Rare item.

When Ming Hu opened his character window and checked his level, he was surprised, because there’s a huge difference between killing multiple monsters and leveling up multiple times with a single monster.
Legendary was a system that meant that even if you killed one animal and gained a ton of experience, your experience would be halved as you leveled up. This meant that the experience gained from the monster fox would be halved as you continued to level up, but you would still gain enough experience to level up dozens of times.

Ming Hu first invested all of his bonus stats in strength.

“Two rooms of monster foxes, right?”
Ming Hu muttered to himself and checked the skill information for Personal Strike, one of the few skills he had learned.

A smile spread across Ming Hu's face as he checked the skill information. The strike dealt 200% damage, which meant that it dealt double damage, which meant that she could kill a two-armed monster fox in one hit.

Of course, each fox has a different amount of health, so it's possible to find one that won't die from a single hit. However, the monster fox you just captured didn't seem to have a lot of health, and that's because of its size.
For monsters of the same type, the larger they are, the more health they have. The monster fox you just caught was larger than the five monster foxes you saw in the clearing, but not smaller.

Ming Hu stammered, then opened his inventory and saw the pelt he had gotten from the monster fox.

I had no idea how much I would get for selling the pelts of the Monstrous Fox. I could only make a vague guess based on the fact that the pelt of the Great Fox was worth 30 gold.

Ming Hu's gaze shifted to the steel tail next to the hide. Unlike the monster fox's pelt, the steel tail had nothing to compare it to, so it was impossible to guess.
"…I'll give you a lot anyway."
The monstrous foxes are far more powerful than the great foxes, and their byproduct items should fetch a higher price, Ming Hu thought as he closed his inventory and looked around again. Should he go after the monster foxes that were roaming around one by one, or should he go back and get the great fox?

I still don't know if I'll be able to level up every time I catch one or not, but I've definitely been able to have a steady hunt with the Great Fox.

At the sound of the bushes shaking, Ming Hu stopped walking and swallowed hard.

At the sound of a roar, Ming Hu quickly turned toward the source of the roar, and what did he see? A monstrous fox, crouching low, running toward him.

The monster fox slammed into Ming Hu, sending him flying backward. Ming Hu looked at the monster fox, which was closing the gap as it ran after him.

It seemed to be even faster than the monster fox from earlier. As soon as Ming Hu hit the ground, he quickly rolled backwards to avoid the second attack. However, Ming Hu couldn't help but frown. The monster fox was certainly fast. Ming Hu stepped forward, seeing its front paws flying toward him.

Ming Hu stepped forward, expecting to be struck by the front foot, and quickly threw a punch.

But as if anticipating it, the monster fox quickly ducked to the side, narrowly avoiding Ming Hu's fist, then turned and swung its tail.

[Stunned for 3 seconds].
The fainting message that popped up made Ming Hu panic.
"What is…?
Ming Hu sensed something was wrong. Its fighting style was very different from the monster fox he had captured earlier. Not only was it larger, but it also seemed to be more intelligent.

The monster fox began to stamp its forepaws in rapid succession, then turned and swung its tail once more. Still stunned, Ming Hu could only stare at the tail as it flew toward him.

Once again, the fainted message appeared.

Ming Hu cursed under his breath at the stunned message and stared blankly at the front paws flying toward him.

After striking Ming Hu repeatedly with its front paws, the monster fox turned around and swung its tail. At this rate, Ming Hu was going to be killed by the monster fox, helpless.
"This guy is good!
However, unlike Dara, Ming Hu, who had a two-second stun, was already out of stun by the time the monster fox turned around, and he quickly threw a punch and shouted.

"You shouldn't be that well-equipped."
Ming Hu sighed and began to pick up the dropped items.

After picking up the items, Ming Hu muttered to himself as he opened his character window.

Ming Hu couldn't help but be surprised. Staring blankly at the character window, Ming Hu invested all of his bonus stats into Strength and closed the character window.
"…Should we just go for the monster fox? It's a level, it's a level…"
The speed at which I was leveling up made me realize that it wouldn't be a bad idea to hunt down and catch monster foxes.
