Chapter 11

Chapter 11

* * * * *
“How much is it going to cost…”
Walking to the shop, Ming Hu muttered to himself as he looked at the items in his inventory. Aside from the sixty bristles he had used to break the quest, his inventory was still full of items.
“The gallbladders were ten silvers apiece… And I’d pay a pretty penny for the leather…”
Ming Hu did a quick calculation of how much he could get for the items, and he smiled broadly. It seemed like he could get a lot more money than he had as a rabbit or fox.
“Are we there yet?”
Eventually, Ming Hu arrived at the storefront and quickly went inside.
“Welcome!”
As you enter the shop, Fern rises from his seat to greet you as if he’s been waiting for you. Ming Hu walked up to Fern and said a quick hello.
“I’m trying to sell some of these.”
With that, Ming Hu pulled a bear skin from his inventory and placed it on the table.
“Ho ho, is it a bear this time?”
Fern muttered as he looked at the bear skin Ming Hu had placed on the table.
“Let’s see…”
He then began sorting through the bears’ skins.
Swoosh swoosh swoosh
The bear pelts began to be sorted as quickly as ever. Ming Hu smiled as he watched the pile of bearskins pile up to one side. But Ming Hu could sense that something was wrong.
“What’s wrong?
As he quickly sorts through the pelts, Fern’s expression is not as happy as it used to be. And now that he thinks about it, whether he’s sorting or just organizing, the bear’s pelts are piling up on one side.
“Hmmm…”
Soon enough, Fern finished sorting and sighed in disappointment. Ming Hu’s heart sank with anxiety at Fern’s sigh.
“This time, there’s no equal…”
“Oh…”
At Fern’s next words, Ming Hu realized the source of his uneasiness and let out a rueful sigh. But then he shook his head.
“How can there be 150 copies and not one equivalent?
It was so different from rabbits and foxes, where most of the hides were of good quality. Ming Hu couldn’t understand why there were 150 hides and not a single good one.
“Looks like you had a hard time catching the bear.”
Ming Hu shook his head again as he watched Fern speak with a look of understanding on his face. Fern seemed to know why there were no equivalents.
“Yeah, it’s weird how it doesn’t take much to kill a bear.”
Fern’s next words were an epiphany for Ming Hu.
“Holy shit, they’ve implemented this!
With a rabbit or fox, you could catch it in a few blows, but a bear was different. That was the difference. For rabbits and foxes that could be caught without a few blows, there were many good ones, and for bears that couldn’t, there were none.
“And the price is…?”
Ming Hu cautiously opened his mouth to ask. It was an inferior product, so the price should be quite low.
“I’ll pay 20 silver a piece.”
“…What?”
But when Ming Hu heard the price, he couldn’t help but question himself.
“Is it enough?”
“Oh, no, you said 20 silvers a piece.”
“Okay. Will you sell all 150?”
Ming Hu nodded quickly at Fern’s question. At Ming Hu’s quick nod, Fern smirked and handed Ming Hu 30 gold.
“See you next time!”
After Ming Hu left the shop, he looked at the 30 gold he had received from Fern. It was a huge sum of money, nothing compared to the rabbit or fox.
“…I’m going to go grab a bear.
Ming Hu pondered seriously and went into the butcher’s shop to dispose of the remaining items.
“Hmm? You’re here?”
“Yes, I have something to dispose of.”
Ming Hu walked over to Teren and pulled out the remaining gallbladder and meat from his inventory.
“Gallbladder and bear meat, are you going to dispose of all this?”
“Yes.”
Ming Hu nodded in response to Teren’s question.
“Well, gallbladders are six silvers a piece.”
The sale price was 10 silvers, which was a pretty good deal.
“The meat will wait…”
Teren began checking the weight and condition of the meat, as he had been doing all along.
“Hmm. How about a total of nine gold?”
“…”
Ming Hu was speechless when he heard Teren’s offer of nine gold. Eighty gallbladders at six silver each would cost four gold and eighty silver, which meant four gold and twenty silver for the meat.
“That much for meat? I didn’t expect that.
But Teren’s next words made Ming Hu shake his head in disbelief.
“I’ll pay you 14 gold for the gallbladder.”
Something was wrong. Ming Hu didn’t understand, so he asked Teren.
“Didn’t you say you’d give me 9 gold total, so how can I get 14 gold…?”
Teren said, giving Ming Hu a strange look.
“Meat 9 gold, gallbladder 4 gold, 80 silver, total 13 gold, 80 silver, 20 silver for service.”
“Oh.”
When Ming Hu heard how the 14 gold would be obtained, he nodded and thought to himself.
“The meat is expensive.
I just realized that bear meat is expensive.
‘Gallbladder is the cheapest…’
I also noticed that the gallbladder I was most excited about was the cheapest, though not by much.
“Do you want to sell?”
“Oh, yeah!”
At Teren’s question, Ming Hu replied, “Of course.
“There it is!”
“Goodbye.”
Ming Hu then took 14 gold from Teren and left the butcher shop. After leaving the butcher’s shop, Ming Hu walked toward Mugu and checked the money in his pocket.
“…!
When Ming Hu checked the money, he was surprised. There was over 40 gold in the water.
“For this much money…”
It seemed like he could buy something that would be far superior to his current equipment. Soon, Ming Hu arrived in front of the armor shop and smiled at the thought of getting the right equipment.
“Hello.”
“…”
Nod
Still, Tilto said nothing. Ming Hu smiled slightly at Tilto’s steadfastness and began to look over the equipment.

“Well…”
After looking at a few weapons that looked as good as they sounded for the money, Ming Hu sighed briefly and shook his head. All of the stats were limited except Strength. He had only looked at a few, but there seemed to be very few weapons he could equip with his high strength.
“How do I…”
I had invested and was going to invest everything in potency because of the ridiculous deceptive passive. I couldn’t give it up for itemization, but I couldn’t give up items either.
“Let’s find…”
Ming Hu sighed and began to look at the weapons on display again. Surely there was a weapon he could equip himself with.
“Only knuckles?”
After looking at the weapons on display for a while, Ming Hu realized that knuckles were the only weapon he could equip. Sure, there were swords and daggers available, but they were all lesser options than a solid iron blade.
“Let’s focus on the knuckles.”
Ming Hu began to look for the knuckles among the weapons on display, checking out the options.
“Huh?”
So Minghu started looking for knuckles and checking out the options, and soon found one he liked.

What’s making your knuckles scream? – Mutuga Laver
“Let’s go with this one.”
Ming Hu picked up the knuckles and took them to Tilto. Tilto was somewhat surprised to see Ming Hu bringing the knuckles with the screeching sound.
“How much?”
“Forty-three gold.”
“…”
Ming Hu then asked for the price, and Tilto’s answer left him speechless for a moment.
“How much?”
“43 gold”
I asked again, just to make sure I didn’t mishear, but the answer was the same.
“That’s nice, but…
The Screaming Knuckles certainly had some good options, and he had to admit that he had no weapons other than the Knuckles that he could use.
’43 gold… I have less than 2 gold left.’
The problem was the price. I had to revise my plan to buy armor if I could afford the screaming knuckles.
‘Weapons are important, so…’
Recalling what he had realized while using the hard iron sword, Ming Hu finally decided to purchase LSJZMF with a cold shriek, taking out 43 gold and handing it to Tilto.
“But you… are you buying it because you can use it?”
Tilto asked, taking the money.
“Yes.”
Ming Hu nodded and replied.
“…”
Tilto looked at Ming Hu wordlessly, then seemed to consider something, then opened his mouth to speak.
“Can you do me a favor?”
“…?”
“I need the claws of a great fox… can you get them for me?”
