Chapter 467

Chapter 467

#Epilog
hello. This is Guando Seo.
We’ve prepared interpretations of every ‘■’ in the work so far.
I was going to attach it to the author’s note, but I realized it would be an unintentional spoiler if I gave it away for free, so I’m leaving it here. If you’re curious about what it means, I’d recommend reading it side by side.
We also have one lightweight short.
“Oh, I just wasted a hundred bucks on a magazine addendum!”
for those of you who thought.
For those of you who regretted paying and felt the urge to stick a dollar bill in my forehead, I hope this story will help you vent your anger.
-.

→ Huh?!
12.”■—■■?”
→ Mmm—are you?
13.”■■■■!”
→ Back off!
14.”■■.”

→ KEEEEEEK!
2. -■■—.

-.
Part 1Chapter 127
1.”I had a hard time. ■■.”
→ Trouble. Abel.
-.
Part 1Chapter 128
1.”Alibrihe. Would you and Elsia and ■■ supervise the construction in the neighborhood for a few months?”
→ Alibrije. Would you and Elsia and Abel be willing to oversee the construction in the neighborhood for a few months?
2.”■■—.”
→ Abel—.
-.
Part 1Chapter 129
1. 【■■! How dare you!!!】.
→ Abel! How dare you!
-.
Part 1Chapter 189
1.【■■ was the child she was talking about. I don’t know why I didn’t recognize you before. You look so much alike.
→ You’re the kid Cain was talking about. I don’t know why I didn’t recognize you sooner. You look so much like him.
2. [Oh, you mean ■■].
→ Aha. You mean Cain.
-.
Part 1Chapter 191
1. “You must have seen the right one, because he’s the son of ■■.” / “What? If it’s ■■, then it must be the one who built the fortress—.”
→ “What? If you’re Cain, you’re the one who built this fortress.” / “What? If you’re Cain, you’re the one who built this fortress.
2.”This is the room where ■■ used to live. He spent three years in this cell with Elsia, working on his research. He has visited me from time to time since then, but has never stopped by here.”
→ Cain’s room. I spent three years in this cell with Elsia, working on my research. She has visited me from time to time since, but has never stopped by.
3.”Hmm? They said it was ■■ and Elsia.”
→ Hmm? I said Cain and Elsia.
-.
Part 1Chapter 192
1. “This is a room that existed before the fortress was built. Driemoor was built on raised ground centered here. Mr. ■■ was the architect of this fort.”
→ This room existed before the fortress was built. Dreammoor was built on a raised platform centered here. Cain was the architect of this fortress.
2.”Curse—? Aha, so that’s why you can’t recognize ■■’s name.”
→ curse—? Aha. So that’s why you don’t recognize Cain’s name.
3.”■■’s age is exactly the same as the last time he came to see me. I remember it exactly because it was only a few decades ago. You’re not asking about longevity, are you? ■■ is just like the Lorhon you know—”
→That’s because your age is exactly the same as Cain’s when he last visited me. It was only a few decades ago, and I remember it exactly. You’re not asking about longevity, are you? Cain, like Lorhon, whom you know well—.
4.”Going back to Elsia’s story—she came to me about a thousand years ago with ■■, who referred to herself as ■■’s assistant.”
→ Going back to Elsia’s story—she came to me with Cain about a thousand years ago. She called herself Cain’s assistant.
5.”Right. Anyway, unlike ■■, who disappeared in a flash, Elsia was here in Dreammoor until recently. She was the best elemental I’ve ever seen, and I was sorry to see her go so suddenly.”
→ Yes. Anyway, unlike Cain, who disappeared in an instant, Elsia was here in Dreammoor until recently. She was one of the best elementals I’ve ever seen, and I was saddened by her sudden departure.”
6.”It’s impossible. ■■ called it armor. It’s a shield that the stars we live on are born with, and it can never be repaired by normal means.”
→ Impossible. Cain called it armor. It’s a shield that the stars we live on are born with, and it can never be repaired by normal means.
7.”So ■■ left. To find out how to save everyone.”
→ So Cain left. To figure out how to save everyone.
8.”Yeah. That’s what ■■ was here for in the first place, to do research on. creating a shield to rival the armor of the stars, allowing others to harness the same powers as he did. He’s an amazing kid.”
→ Yes. That’s why Cain was here in the first place, for his research. Whether it was creating a shield to rival the armor of the stars, or allowing others to harness the same power he had, he was an amazing kid.
9. “■■ is a horrible person, and I can’t believe he would do this to a child, even if he meant well. I believe in ■■, but I think this is a little out of line.”
→ Cain was a terrible person, too, to do this to a child, even if he meant well. I believe in Cain, but I think this is a little out of line.
-.
Part 1Chapter 193
1.”—There’s too much to burn. But that’s not the problem. It’s ■■. This is how they blocked the sea.”
→ —-There’s too much to burn. But that’s not the problem. Cain. Is this how you keep her at bay?
2.”I don’t know, but the way the map changed in response to your mana, I can’t discount the possibility that ■■ left it himself.”
→ I don’t know, but given the way the map changed in response to your mana, I can’t discount the possibility that Cain himself left it.
-.
Part 1Chapter 194
1.”Child, I know you’re special. You’re definitely worthy of being sent to the front lines. You’ve inherited ■■’s ability to cut through magic, and I have no doubt that you’ll perform better than most immortals.”
→ Child, I know you’re special. I’m sure you’re ready for the front lines. You’ve inherited Cain’s ability to cut through magic, and I have no doubt you’ll do better than most immortals.
2.”I want you to look at the bigger picture. Like ■■ and Elsia, who were trying to figure out how to save everyone.”
→ I want you to see the bigger picture. Like Cain and Elsia, who were trying to figure out how to save everyone.

That’s it.
We hope this answers some of your questions.
Chapters 43, 44, 189, 191, 192, 193, and 194 should be read as modified versions to ensure that the interpretation is consistent.
There’s one last story to tell.
We hope you enjoy the view of the endpoint.
*** Β
“Adeshan. Did you say you’re leaving today?”
A cheerful voice echoed through the kitchen.
Sitting at the kitchen table, slicing a steak, Adeshan looked up. A woman almost as tall as he was was cooking in an apron. Normally a stoic soldier, Adeshan had turned into a chef on weekends when he was home.
Adeshan said.
“Yes. Mom.”
“Then you better leave before your brothers get back, they were bugging me all last night. Said I was going backpacking when I still had to carry it in my pocket.”
“That’s one big pocket.”
“So, no matter how many times I tell you that you’re a big girl now, I want to know—what are you going to do when you enter Phileon Academy in three months?”
“That’s okay, it means they care about me.”
“Gosh, that’s deep, so why don’t you wait and say hello?”
“Nope. I ate well.”
Adeshan immediately jumped to his feet. It was one thing to be generous.
Their advantage was that they loved their sister too much, and their disadvantage was that they loved her too much. If they were seen, the trip would be delayed by at least three days.
Like a marten bitten by a hound, you’ll be unable to squirm.
Adeshan hugged his mother from behind.
“I love you, bye.”
“I love you too. Say hi to your dad in the living room.”
“Yes.”
Adeshan walked out into the living room.
His father, who was closing the shop for the weekend, was playing chess with a customer who had come in since the morning.
The guest’s sheer size made the living room look full. He didn’t look too happy that his father had the upper hand. He growled as he thumped the floor with his black tail.
“—Cowardly.”
“Heh, heh, do you want me to give you a hand?”
My father smiled and replied.
Even in the presence of a weary tiger three times his size, he was not nervous; he was confident that this guest would not kill him for a mere chess defeat. If it was natural, it was natural. They were friends here, not losers in the North, not beyond the walls.
Zaifa said.
“No need. Don’t pity the warrior.”
“Then we’ll be done in less than three.”
“No way–there’s no way that’s possible.”
“Want me to show you?”
The father stretched out his hand.
Exactly three moves later, the king collapsed. Jaifa’s brow furrowed.
After a silent, tail-wagging moment, he spoke.
“—Let’s do it again.”
“Whatever you say, Adeshan. Where are you going?”
The father, finally noticing his daughter, raised an eyebrow.
Adeshan nodded.
“The trip I told you about last time.”
“Aha, the backpacking trip. Be careful out there. I have to see you off—”
“I’m fine, just stay with Mr. Jaifa.”
“Good morning. Adeshan.”
Jaifa smirked. Adeshan waved a hand in greeting.
In my original life, this would have been unthinkable.
The slaughterer who caused the Night of the Fangs, the one who destroyed homes, is now the neighbor who comes to your house when he’s bored.
“You look great, and how are all your Sioux friends doing?”
“Yeah. Thanks to you.”
“Look what I did. Glad to hear you’re doing well.”
Adeshan smirked. She’d taken away his lunch, but she’d done a lot more than that.
Two years ago, she told Jaifa the whole truth she knew. Varka was immediately executed. Instead of unleashing the Night of the Fangs, Zaifa voluntarily entered into a compromise with the Emperor.
Adeshan joined as a diplomat, and somehow things worked out.
“I’m glad, really.”
This was Ceniel’s last gift.
A gift to a warlord who has served four lives well.
After defeating Abel and transferring her remaining life force to a dying Ronan, she was granted one more life instead of going to the afterlife as commonly represented in the media.
When her consciousness returned, Adeshan was a girl, standing in the home of the Changeling Varsa.
“I thought I was paying for my incompetence.
At first, I was baffled. I honestly thought I had gone to hell. I was convinced that fate was going to come back to bite me in the ass.
But this regression was different: having lived four lives in total, including the time when she was trapped in the orb as a soul, Adeshan knew everything that would happen in the future and was able to prepare for it. The Night of the Fangs that turned her life into hell never happened, and no one in her family died.
“Shadow’s mana blossomed quickly.
It was practically heaven.
She was learning to live in the moment.
There was even room for this world to be a better place than heaven.
This backpacking trip was a journey to find that final piece.
Zaifa said.
“By the way, you have a strange look in your eyes today. Are you hunting for prey or something?”
“It’s kind of like, I’m going to catch my husband-to-be.”
“Kahhhhh!”
Adeshan replied in a nonchalant tone.
An intense fountain erupted from his nose and mouth as he sipped the spirits with the leisure of a winner.
The chessboard and Jaifa’s fur are drenched.
“Hey. Are you okay?”
“Sin, I’m sorry, I was so surprised that I stopped—wait a minute, Adeshan. Who are you bringing?!”
“Don’t worry. Everyone’s going to love it. You know how high I am.”
“What if my brothers find out, I don’t know who it is, but they’ll kill me!”
“It’s okay because he’s stronger. I love you, Dad, bye.”
Adeshan left the house. The sound of his father’s coughing continued until he closed the front door.
The sky was clear. Beyond the ashen walls of Varsa, white mountain peaks lined the landscape. On the spot where the memorial would have stood, a statue of the emperor and Jaifa shaking hands stood. I breathed in and out, feeling the cool breeze wash over my lungs.
She gazed at the clouds of birdseed and said to herself.
“That’s nice, not having to worry about it.”
A soft smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. For the first time since her regression, she was living a life of abundance. Not in the sense of material abundance, but in the sense of eating well and sleeping well. It was a luxury she could afford knowing that nothing was going to happen in ten years.
“Akyasa—.”
There are no giants in this world. There were, but they’re gone.
It was only a month ago. I was walking on the ramparts, making plans for the future, when suddenly the space ripped open and a beautiful girl stepped out. She bore a striking resemblance to Ronan.
A girl named Akasha introduced herself as Ronan’s granddaughter from a parallel world.
– Wow, there’s a fifth world, and I’ve been doing something—! Nice to meet you, Captain!
– Good to see you. But even though they are descendants, they look too much like each other.
On second thought, it was ridiculous.
His face was too plain for anyone to tell him where he was coming from. Besides, he looked just like her, with his thick black hair and cheeky grin. Akasha told him that he had already destroyed the giants, and that he should focus on living a happy life.
This wasn’t a lie either.
She opened a giant rift to reveal the star of the dying giants. The mysterious celestial phenomenon that had occurred a few days earlier was the souls of the Giants released by the destruction of their source. Purpose lost, the Nebula Claziers were either annihilated by Akasha or imprisoned on Rodolan, with only a few survivors.
But what really shocked me was what followed.
Recalling the conversation, Adeshan muttered in his main voice.
“How foolish—Corporal.”
It was the first time Adeshan realized that the world he left behind when he died was a parallel world.
That the world that was supposed to be destroyed was saved by Ronan, and that it was Ronan who first handed the orb to his dying self.
In fact, one of the reasons Ronan wanted to save the parallel world was because he was worried that he would have a hard time in heaven.
When she learned the whole truth, she cowered on the ramparts and wept aloud.
Until the morning dawns and Akasha leaves.
Yeah, for some reason I recognized it from the first time I saw it.
Adeshan rubbed at his blurred vision.
“Let’s go.”
It was time to hit the road.
With her back to her home, she passed through the gates of Varsa.
Leaving the cooler north, I found myself in a land of melted snow.
I didn’t use spatial scrolling on purpose. I wanted to fully enjoy the peacefulness of the world.
When they were thirsty, they quenched their thirst in clear streams, and when they were hungry, they picked berries or hunted for food. When their legs were tired, they would find a scenic spot to rest.
I visited different towns and cities and met people. I enjoyed every minute of it. I saw things that I hadn’t seen in the past, when I was only focused on stopping the giant.
The occasional bandit was a highlight of the trip.
Anyone who saw a young maiden traveling alone and approached her with a black heart fell prey to mind control. Most of them were tied up and forced to turn themselves in to the nearest town, but if their crimes were severe enough, they were forced to commit suicide or gouge out their own eyes.
Each time, Adeshan smiled bitterly.
Even if they weren’t giants or Nebula Clazier, there were wicked people in the world.
I realized that maybe this life wouldn’t be so bad if I had a job that would help me dispel the darkness that pervades the world.
“This is the world, too.
Adeshan walked anyway. He walked and walked and walked.
That was about a month ago.
She arrived in the small western town she had set out for.
A meandering river winds its way through the spring-blooming village, the wildflowers here and there both rustic and beautiful, and the sun, rising from the direction she came, bathes the landscape in golden color.
“—That’s a nice place.”
Adeshan looked around and gave a small gasp. He’d heard of it, but never seen it. A few sheep were waking from their early slumber, roaming from hill to hill.
The town is named Nimburton.
It was the home of my first love.
“Hoooooooo—.”
Adeshan took a deep breath. His heart was pounding even though he wasn’t running.
She didn’t say anything to her father or Jaifa, but when it came time to meet, she could barely breathe because of the nervousness. In retrospect, she realized that she had only been vicariously satisfied, but she had never been in a relationship of her own.
“Let’s calm down–you already know that. I’ve seen everything about him.”
I was lucky to be a spectator in spirit form.
Without that experience, I would have fainted.
I could claim to know Ronan better than anyone else in the world, but that’s a whole other thing than having the courage.
“I wonder if I can talk to him.
At least it was early in the morning.
With most people still asleep, I had a little time to gather my wits.
Pulling out a small mirror, she began to adjust her outfit.
Should I unbutton my shirt a few more buttons? Is it better to tie my hair back? What should I say after saying hello? Won’t they think I’m crazy?
I’m not sure. No matter what I did, I wasn’t satisfied.
It was much easier to command an army of a million.
She let out a strange groan as she pondered.
“Stop motion.”
“What.”
A familiar voice echoed behind him.
I was so preoccupied that I didn’t even notice.
A wooden stick tapped Adeshan on the shoulder.
“Finally caught him. The sheep thief. You didn’t think I’d wait this long, did you?”
“—Sheep thief?”
“Yeah. Don’t think I’ll take you for a woman, and I’ll give you a very bitter lesson before I throw you in jail. First you’ll dress up as a sheep, then you’ll run three times around the village—”
He began to chatter excitedly, and when he regained his composure and looked around, he saw a dozen lambs at his feet. He was so nervous that he had unconsciously taken control of his mind.
Worst encounter ever.
Adeshan said.
“I think there’s a misunderstanding. I’m not a sheep thief.”
“Everyone has that excuse. Loud and backwards. Look at that shameless face.”
“—Yes.”
Adeshan turned around, his hands raised to his shoulders.
Ronan stood there, a look of triumph on his face.
It was Ronan as a boy, looking distinctly younger than she remembered. His skin was softer, and he was much shorter than she remembered. Ronan froze at the sight of Adeshan.
“What—.”
The pole slowly lowered.
His gaze was fixed on Adeshan’s face like someone mesmerized by something.
Adeshan was no different. The flock, freed from their mind control, was fleeing, but they had no time to care. They both instinctively realized. that the myth of love at first sight was a load of crap.
Ronan was the first to speak up.
“——Chet, that’s kind of a half-assed look.”
“Thank you.”
“Are you sure you’re not a thief?”
“No, I didn’t. But it was my fault that the sheep gathered around you, and for that I apologize, Ronan.”
“How do you spell my name?”
Ronan hadn’t even finished his sentence.
Adeshan stepped forward and kissed him on the back of the head.
“——!”
Ronan’s eyes widened. It was a light kiss, just lips touching, but it didn’t matter.
The two men were now separated, their faces red as if they were about to burst.
Ronan, who’d been touching his own lips, sighed softly.
“—Wow.”
“Well.”
Adeshan smiled at the bash.
His flushed, blushing face was almost unbearably cute. She could see why Ronan had smiled at her when they’d kissed under the bright lights. This was life.
Still facing Ronan, Adeshan gestured toward the hill of oak trees.
“Those little things, let’s sit there and talk about them slowly.”
The End.

hello. This is Guando Seo.
I don’t feel like I can capture my feelings in a comment, so I leave a closing.
It’s my first novel, so I have a lot to think about.
Still, we don’t want to leave you with a lingering feeling, so let’s wrap things up without going on too long.
The Academy’s genius knifemaker is complete.
February 12, 2022 through April 23, 2024.
Ronan and Adeshan’s epic journey, totaling 801 days, has finally come to an end.
In fact, it still doesn’t quite sink in.
The Academy’s Genius Knifeman is a novel that changed my life.
Over the course of the 801 days of the series, I was able to break free from being a shitting machine, meet the woman who would become my wife, and pay it forward to the friends who had been buying me meals throughout my years of poverty.
I’m still reeling from what they did for me.
Just to name a few—.
“You’re a family failure.”
“You have to be who you are, and there’s no writing on your face.”
“What you wrote is just a piece of cyber oceanic garbage that eats up traffic.” (unread)
“Guandoya has a vacancy on the production line. Just say the word.”
Ah, the friendship that heats the heart and the head!
The only reason they’re still alive is because they’ve bought me food every time I’ve done them a favor. They’re like malicious dons, throwing out hundred-dollar bills and swearing. They don’t know it, but they’ve helped shape Ronan’s character.
We had so much support from so many other people.
Without my parents, my friends who supported me in normal ways, my writing buddies, Pee Dee and my wife (Jean), I would never have been able to write what I wrote, let alone you, my readers.
We’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you.
Thank you so much.
There was a pause.
Anyway, a lot of other cool things happened, too many to list. The 801 days of publishing Akatenkal have been some of the brightest of my life.
Ronan saved the world, but he also saved me.
I still remember posting my firstChapter .
I was sitting in my room at home. It was a chilly evening, with a cold breeze and sunset seeping through the half-open window. It was a purple, melting sunset, like the one at the end of Part 2. My hands, which normally suffer from cold feet, were completely frozen with cold and nervousness.
After much deliberation, I hit the upload button.
At the time, it was titled “The Genius Knifeman Who Never Learned.
Honestly, I think it’s okay to think about it now, but it was terribly, terribly unpopular until I changed the title to The Academy’s Genius Knifeman. Sometimes I think about what would have happened if I’d stopped the series then, and it sends chills down my spine. I’m more proud than ever of my past self for not giving up on the series.
We’ll talk about part 2 in a moment.
I was honestly proud of myself for finishing Part 1 so neatly, and I was happy with the ending ofChapter 333, “Ronan,” which was the lastChapter originally planned.
Still, there was an unresolved story.
This included the backstories of major characters like Nabirozé, Varen, Jaifa, and Erzebet, and the identity of the regression orb, a theme that runs through Part 2.
I had a rough idea in my head, but I didn’t have the resources to make it happen.
As a full-time writer, I knew I had to write the next installment to keep from starving, and I was afraid of messing up the ending if I tinkered with it.
But that all changed when it became a webcomic.
The influx of readers gave me the freedom to tell the rest of the story.
This special outing and part 2 is only possible because of the awesome webcomics and readers who came to see them. Thank you again.
I’m going to keep writing. I’m going to write a novel.
I have no intention of changing my pen name, and if there’s a guy named Seo Guandao writing a novel somewhere, it’s very likely to be me, the author of The Academy’s Genius Knifeman.
I think it’s time to wrap things up.
If it’s any longer, I’ll be sorry to see you in the next novel.
In the end, I think those are the two sentences I wanted to get across in my review.
I was happy to be able to use the Academy’s genius knifeman.
It was a pleasure to share one of the brightest moments of my life with you, my readers.
We’ll see you in the next installment.
Thanks again for reading today.
Restitution to the West Guan Road.
