Chapter 67

Chapter 67

“You don’t have any more…?”
The Golking asked Ming Hu. Ming Hu opened his mouth to answer the Golking’s question.
“Yes, it’s gone.”
You have disposed of all 380 hilts of six types of swords, including glowing steel swords and solid steel swords. There were no more swords in my inventory.
“Well, I’ll leave you to it.”
With that, the Golking began to scurry off somewhere. Ming Hu watched the Golking’s back for a moment, smirked, and then calculated how much he had made from this sale.
‘I have 4700 gold in income and 1925 gold in materials… Ha’
Selling 380 sacks of 6 different types brought in a whopping 47,700 gold. The 380 sacks of materials cost 1925 gold. That’s a profit of 38,775 gold.
Jumbled
Ming Hu began to walk toward the auction house.
“I’ll have to make more of them this time.”
He had made 380 swords with the materials he had bought earlier. Ming Hu planned to purchase more materials this time to craft even more items.
Woof, woof, woof
“1 gold for 9,500 won, minimum 50 gold, maximum 400 gold.”
“1 gold for $9.00! Minimum 20 gold! Maximum 600 gold!”
“Gold Farm! 1,500 per gold, 10 gold minimum, 200 gold maximum!”
“Buy an urgent item, I’ll pay you as much as I can.”
Arriving at the auction house, Ming Hu quickly moved past the players and approached the Gold Auction House NPC.
“Huh?
As Ming Hu approached the Gold Auction House NPC, he noticed a Golking in front of the Auction House NPC.
“Am I here to sell?
Perhaps he had come to buy back what he had sold. Ming Hu quickly turned his attention to the Gold Auction House NPC, and when he arrived at the Gold Auction House NPC, he opened the auction house and began purchasing steel, bronze, and other materials for his armor.
“I’m going to have to make a bow this time.”
This time, he was going to make bows as well as swords. Ming Hu closed the auction house and opened the Weaponsmithing Window to check the materials for the bows.
“The ingredients are definitely different.”
Ming Hu muttered something to himself and closed the armor crafting window. He then opened the auction house again to purchase more materials for the bow.
“If this is good enough. I could make a lot of these.”
Ming Hu muttered to himself as he looked at the enormous amount of materials in his inventory. The amount of materials he had purchased this time was truly staggering.
“That cost about 5,000 gold…”
Ming Hu checked the amount of gold he had lost. He had lost 5,000 gold. It had cost less than 2,000 gold to make 380 swords before, but now it cost 2.5 times as much.
“I can make over 700 swords… how many bows can you make?”
The price didn’t go up. The price was the same. It’s just that I bought more ingredients than I ever have before.
“Let’s go make it!”
Siaak
Ming Hu opened the portal and traveled to Himise. Arriving in Himise’s main square, Ming Hu immediately took a blue orb from his inventory and threw it to the ground.
Poof!
The blue orb disappeared in a puff of smoke, revealing a simple forge. Ming Hu walked to the workbench.
“Let’s get started!”
Ming Hu muttered something to himself and pressed Craft. The materials appeared on the workbench and a message appeared.
[Hold the hammer].
Sigh
[Tap the marked spot with a hammer].
Sparkle!
Whoosh! Bam!
[You have successfully crafted a solid steel sword].
* * * * *
“Hmph.”
The golkings running to the auction house couldn’t help but laugh.
“If this sells well…
Golking opened his inventory. The inventory was filled with tons of equipment.
“I’ll be able to pay back all the gold I borrowed from the guild!
Golking used to borrow gold from the Guild to run his business. But now he’s able to pay it all back.
To be honest, I could have paid back all the gold I borrowed from the guild if I wanted to, but if I did, I wouldn’t have enough capital to do business properly. So I didn’t pay it back even though I could, and then the opportunity came.
“Now I can run a business with my own funds…!
If you sell enough gear to fill your inventory, you’ll have enough capital to pay back your guild and still have plenty of money left over.
Woof, woof, woof
“Selling Gold. 1,500 per gold. 10 gold minimum, 200 gold maximum!”
“1 gold for 9,500 cents! Min 40 gold! Max 300 gold!”
“Buy an emergency item, I’ll pay you the most.”
“9,000 for 1 gold! 30 gold minimum! 550 gold maximum!”
Soon, the Golking arrived at the auction house and quickly passed by the players. Soon after, the Golking arrived in front of the Auction House NPC and opened the transaction status window.

“Oh, you sold six?”
The Golking smiled broadly and quickly collected the mileage from the completed transaction, then handed the NPC a few items he’d been eyeing and put them up for auction.
“Now let’s go for the gold!”
After putting the item up for auction, the Golking opened the transaction status window to make sure it was listed correctly, and then walked toward the Gold Auction House NPC.
“I need a weapon for a 60 warrior! Swords welcome!”
Stop!
A sudden sound stopped him in his tracks, and he opened his inventory to see the swords that filled it.
Jumbled
The Golking smiled and approached the user who cried out for weapons and made a deal.
“Hello!”
“Oh, yeah! Can you raise the weapon, please?”
“Here it is!”
With that, the Golking placed the six swords he had purchased from Ming Hu in the trading window: a hard steel sword, a shining steel sword, a cold steel sword, and a cold steel sword.
“…”
The user who shouted out that he wanted to buy a sword said nothing as the sword came up and slowly began to check out the options of the six swords.
“Wow!”
The user exclaimed with a surprised look on his face that he had checked all the options for the swords, and then said
“That’s really nice! How much do you sell it for?”
“Which one would you like to buy?”
“Oh, I haven’t decided on that yet! Can I get a price? Let me hear the price and then I’ll decide!”
Golking thought about how much to call users’ words to get them to make a purchase and maximize profits.
‘It’s obvious. So…’
Seeing the user’s behavior, the Golking thought about it and opened his mouth to speak.
“Solid steel sword 120 gold, shiny steel sword 140 gold… I’m selling my sawblade sword for 120 gold.”
“Oh, I see.”
After seeing the user’s reaction, the Golking was certain that the user would buy the sword. As expected, the user opened his mouth and spoke.
“I’ll take a glowing steel sword.”
The Golking removed the five swords from the trade window, except for the glowing steel sword. When he saw 140 gold, he clicked Confirm to finalize the trade.
“Goodbye!”
“Yes, have fun!”
The Golking started walking toward the Gold Auction House NPC again.
“…huh?
After a while, Golking spotted the Gold Auction House NPC and had to stop walking. Ming Hu, the user who had just sold him 380 swords, was standing in front of the NPC.
“Do you have anything to buy?
This is the Gold Auction House NPC. Standing in front of him means you’re using the gold-only auction house, and that means you have something to buy or sell.
“…No way! Is there more equipment?
Golking swallowed hard at the sudden thought. If there was more equipment, and as many as he’d sold, it would be a serious situation.
In the meantime, Ming Hu, having finished his business, walked away from the NPC and soon disappeared from the Golkings’ sight.
Dada!
‘I don’t think so…’
When Ming Hu disappeared, Golking quickly ran to the NPC, opened the auction house, and began searching through the swords he had purchased from Ming Hu.
“Phew.”
When Golking finished searching, he breathed a sigh of relief. There were a few, but nothing new. What’s more, the ones that did come up all had fewer options than he had.
“Let’s put it up!”
The Golking smiled and began to post the items he had purchased so far, as well as the sword he had purchased from Ming Hu.
“Ugh, it’s a shame there’s a limit.”
There was a limit to the number of items he could put up for auction, so he couldn’t put up everything in his inventory. Golking, who had no intention of bidding on all of them anyway, double-checked the items he had posted and smiled as he saw his inventory fill up.
“I’ll have to go hunting until this sells out. Hmph.”
With that muttering, the goblin decided to take it easy, sell his items, and enjoy a long-overdue hunt. But little did he know. What he didn’t know was what his choice to relax and sell his items, his choice to enjoy the hunt, would bring.
