Chapter 22

Chapter 22

-Chew!
After four seconds, the monster fox roared as it quickly fell backwards. Ming Hu smiled slightly as he saw the monster fox staring at him in bewilderment as he fell backwards.
“I guess my tolerance is about 20%.”
The monster fox was less resistant than I thought. Four seconds was enough time to kill the monster fox.
Jumbled
Ming Hu walked toward the monster fox. The monster fox looked at Ming Hu as he approached, unsure whether to flee or charge again. If it hadn’t been stunned earlier, it would have pounced, but not now.
While the monster fox was thinking, Ming Hu was able to reach the monster fox’s location. When the monster fox saw Ming Hu approaching, it turned and swung its tail. It seemed to have decided to fight.
“I’m going to pass out for a few seconds.”
Stopping in its tracks, Ming Hu muttered to himself as he watched the monster fox’s tail fly toward him.
Puck!
[Stunned for 1 second].
Soon, the tail hit his head and a fainting message appeared, and Ming Hu saw the monster fox motionless.
“Huh.
The tail attack seemed to have popped the option.
“Let’s do a one-room experiment.”
After recovering from his stun, Ming Hu approached the still-stunned monster fox and muttered to himself, “I can do this, my strength has increased by leaps and bounds from before. Ming Hu threw a punch at the monster fox’s back.
Puck!
Shake!
[Level Up!]
[Level Up!]
[Level Up!]
[Level Up!]
[Level Up!]
[Level up!]
[Level up!]
Perhaps because it was stunned, the monster fox didn’t say a word. Ming Hu muttered to himself as he watched the monster fox fall with a single punch.
“This should be good enough.”
Figuring he’d be able to hunt well enough, if not reliably, Myung-Hoo opened his character window for a bonus steal.

“Seven up or…”
Ming Hu frowned slightly as he looked at the character window. Then he opened his mouth and began to mutter.
“Killing things like monster foxes in one hit. The speed at which you level up, it would be a nuisance if it became known.”
Monstrous foxes are no ordinary monsters, which is why they give so much experience. However, it’s a killer monster. What if other players found out how easy it is to catch and level up monsters? Of course, it wouldn’t be a big deal because it’s not a hack, bug, or anything illegal, but it would be annoying.
“…Ha, I shouldn’t have looked like that…”
Ming Hu thought back to what had happened not long ago. He had killed the Great Fox in one fell swoop, and had been so pleased with himself when he saw Fabian looking at him with a dumbfounded expression on his face, but now it bothered him.
“I’ll have to be more careful in the future.”
It was in the past, anyway. Deciding that he had no choice, Myung-Hoo invested all 70 of his bonus stats in strength, vowing to hide his level as much as possible and to be careful not to be seen by other players killing monsters like the monstrous fox in one fell swoop.
Name: Ming Hu

Life: 191450
Mana: 420

“Hmmm. I guess if we catch one more, we can get over ten thousand?”
Ming Hu muttered as he saw his strength exceeding 9,000 and began to pick up the items the monster fox had dropped.
-You have acquired the hide of a monstrous fox.
-You have mastered the Steel Tail of the Monstrous Fox.
“Let’s go!”
After gathering the items, Ming Hu began to wander through the bushes, looking for a clearing.
* * * * *
Puck!
[Stunned for 1 second].
After being stunned by the monster fox’s tail, Ming Hu smiled inwardly as he watched the monster fox with its back to him, motionless.
“Goodbye!”
After recovering from his stun, Ming Hu threw a punch at the still-stunned monster fox.
Puck!
Shake!
[Level Up!]
[Level Up!]
When the monster fox fell, Ming Hu stared at it for a moment, then looked around the clearing. There were four other monster foxes lying in the clearing, including the one in front of Ming Hu.
“What items are coming up this time?”
He was looking forward to seeing what the monster fox would drop. Ming Hu first checked the items dropped by the monster fox lying on the ground in front of him. There was leather and claws, but nothing else.
-You have acquired the hide of a monstrous fox.
-You’ve mastered the Steel Claws of the Monstrous Fox.
Ming Hu grabbed the hide and claws first, then approached the nearest monster fox, and a smile spread across his face as he checked the dropped items.
“Are these the shoes of the arrogant?”
Ming Hu muttered to himself as he looked at the shoe lying between the hide and the tail. Ming Hu had gotten quite a few items from his monster fox hunts so far, and he assumed that the missing item must be the Arrogant One’s shoe.
Sigh
-You have mastered the shoes of the arrogant.
Ming Hu reached for the shoe, smiled at the message that popped up as he grabbed it, and placed the Arrogant One’s Shoe in his inventory. He then grabbed the remaining items and began walking toward the next monster fox.
-You have acquired the hide of a monstrous fox.
-You have mastered the Steel Tail of the Monstrous Fox.
Jumbled
“…Hmm.”
After checking the items dropped by the third monster fox, Ming Hu looked a little disappointed. The only thing that dropped was a hide. Ming Hu picked up the leather and walked straight to the fourth monster fox.
-You have acquired the hide of a monstrous fox.
-You’ve mastered the Steel Claws of the Monstrous Fox.
-You have mastered the Steel Tail of the Monstrous Fox.
But the fourth fox was nothing special, and Ming Hu walked toward the last monster fox.
“Where’s the rare one?”
Ming Hu muttered to himself as he paced. It would be nice if there were more equipment items, but he was lucky to get a rare. Ming Hu relaxed and checked the items dropped by the last monster fox.
“…?”
After checking the dropped items, Ming Hu looked a little surprised and smiled from ear to ear. An unfamiliar pair of gloves had dropped. Ming Hu swallowed hard and reached for the gloves.
-You have mastered the black hand of the cunning one.

“…Hmmm.”
After checking the options for the gloves, Ming Hu was speechless. It was a truly revolutionary option. Of course, I wouldn’t be able to use it myself due to restrictions, but for those of you who are Dodogaga Assassins, this is a dream item.
-You have acquired the hide of a monstrous fox.
-You’ve mastered the Monstrous Fox’s Steel Claws.
After putting the gloves back into his inventory, Ming Hu finished gathering the rest of his items and opened the Character window.
Name: Ming Hu

Age: 22 Occupation: Warrior
Level: 139
Life: 191450
Mana: 420
Strength : 9330[933(+100)] Dexterity : 15 Constitution : 97(+80) Intelligence : 10 Wisdom : 11
Bonus stats: 580
“…”
When Ming Hu checked his character window, he was speechless when he saw his level and the bonus stats he had accumulated. Even to him, his character window was too deceptive.
“It was so stable…”
After obtaining the Stun Ring and beginning to hunt monster foxes in the clearing, Ming Hu realized that he was wrong. It wasn’t that he couldn’t hunt enough, it was that he could hunt too reliably. From then on, Ming Hu continued to hunt, collecting Bonus Stones. The result was 580 Bonus Stones.
“Do you want to take it now?”
Ming Hu looked at the huge pile of bonus stats and frowned slightly.
“No, let’s collect a little bit more and post it all at once.”
Eventually, Ming Hu closed the character window and opened his inventory, and he soon began removing items from his inventory that he no longer wanted, such as the bear skin.
“Is that all there is to it?”
All around Ming Hu were items of various kinds. Ming Hu looked at the fallen items and checked what was left in his inventory.
